Gregory Trottet was born in Morges, Switzerland. After finishing his schooling overseas, he graduated from the HEIG-VD (Yverdon, Switzerland) in 2009 with an HES diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Gregory then went on to join the R&D of CPW (a joint venture between Nestlé and General-Mills) in Orbe, Switzerland where he developed extrusion equipment for breakfast cereals and managed equipment investment projects for CPW R&D.
He then moved to the Nestlé R&D in Singen, Germany in a technology development role for texturized plant protein. In this role, Gregory developed a number of novel solutions for the production of meat analogues.
After his experience in the food industry, Gregory went on to do an MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the HES-SO, where he carried out his master thesis for ALMATECH in Lausanne, graduating in 2017. He then joined to the R&D of VSL in Bern, Switzerland where he developed products and equipment for post-tensioning of concrete and stay-cable bridges.
Since 2020, he is a member of the mechanical engineering group in the Institute of Systems Engineering at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis. Gregory’s research subjects focus on mechanical design, structural analysis, and testing.
