The International Symposium on Biopolymers 2022 (ISBP)

The International Symposium on Biopolymers (ISBP) started in 1988 with a first meeting in Toronto. This congress of scientists is held every two years. This year, the 18th edition will take place from 13 to 16 September 2022 in Sion and will be organised by the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland and the University of Stuttgart.

This year the ISBP has decided to focus on the following scientific topics:

• Metabolic pathways and systems engineering
• Biosynthesis and innovations in fermentation technology
• Building blocks and functional biopolymers
• Biodegradation and recycling of biopolymers
• Suistainable feedstock and life cycle assessment
• Formulating and 3D-processing for applications of biopolymers in industry and medicine
• Biopolymer usage in drug delivery, cosmetics, sustainable packaging and textiles.
