Currently, we have two projects involving Smart Glasses, one for paramedics and one for medical doctors. The main advantage of Smart Glasses over other user interfaces such as smartphones is the ability to interact with it without much hands interaction.
Smart Glasses for paramedics
Smart Glasses for medical doctors
Offering the possibility to conduct diagnosis in a non-disruptive fashion, Smart Glasses is used to help medical doctors to access an image retrieval system (Khresmoi - Paradise). During a patient consultation, a medical doctor would be able to take a picture of a medical case using the camera mounted on Smart Glasses. Smart Glasses sends the picture to Khresmoi to retrieve similare cases.
