The DATA Engineering research group focuses on the processing of data. This research activity spans from applying and developing machine learning and statistical techniques to analyze and model data, to the implementation of these algorithms on embedded platforms such as FPGA, embedded processors, and DSPs.

The domains of application include medical devices, space technology, energy and embedded systems.

Applied Research & Development

The extensive aR&D activities of the DATA Engineering research group are carried out in cooperation with numerous industrial and academic partners from Switzerland and Europe. Research funding is sourced from Innosuisse, EU, and includes direct funding from industrial partners.

Teaching

The DATA Engineering research group is involved in bachelor and master courses in informatics, statistics, embedded systems and the supervision of bachelor and master projects.
